# Sample: .NET 11 runtime async

Two projects that compile the same source twice: RuntimeAsync.Off with the compiler generated state machine,
RuntimeAsync.On with <Features>runtime-async=on</Features>.

dotnet run -c Release --project RuntimeAsync.Off
dotnet run -c Release --project RuntimeAsync. On

Each prints whether it uses runtime async, then a live stack trace three async frames deep, and another one after
a real suspension, so the two can be compared.

decompile.ps1 dumps the IL of both into ./decompiled, which is where the difference is clearest.

dotnet tool install --global ilspycmd --version 10.1.0.8386
    pwsh ./decompile.ps1

global.json pins the .NET 11 SDK this was written against.
